Public Consultations 2008

As part of the Saguenay-St. Lawrence Marine Park Master Plan review process, public consultations will be held until March 21, 2008. A consultation document has been drafted for this purpose and public information and discussion meetings have been scheduled from January 29 to February 7, 2008 in the municipalities of La Malbaie, Rivière-du-Loup, Saguenay (La Baie district) and Les Escoumins.

Consultation Document
The consultation document includes 11 fact sheets, 3 maps and tables that outline matters related to the master plan review process and list achievements in recent years. It also sheds light on challenges facing the marine park over the next few years and proposed plans to meet to these challenges.
The document has been divided into sections to make downloading easier.

How to Participate

Who Can Participate and How?
Any interested individual, group or organization can voice an opinion or comments by submitting a brief or by participating in public information and discussion meetings.

Individuals who would like to present a brief during public information and discussion meetings should summarize the points of interest in their brief to a statement lasting no more than 5 to 10 minutes.

or mailed to one of the following addresses. The deadline for submitting briefs or comments is March 21, 2008:
