The Saguenay–St. Lawrence Marine Park was created primarily to ensure the conservation of the area’s remarkable species and ecosystems. Through this project, the governments of Canada and Quebec working together with various local and regional partners have clearly declared their intention to accentuate the protection of this exceptional milieu, and to manage it in an integrated manner.
