Amerindian hunters at work After the end of the most recent Ice Age some 10,000 years ago, the area that is now Québec became partly habitable. About 5,000 years later, Amerindian hunters left their traces on the Upper North Shore. The discovery of seal bones that bear witness to hunting activity leads us to believe that the area which today encompasses the park was already visited as early as 8,000 years ago.
