Collective Responsibility
Maintaining the biological diversity of the Saguenay–St. Lawrence Marine Park involves preserving its ecosystems and landscapes as a whole. This, in turn, presupposes an emphasis on the following elements:
-
education of the public so that every visitor understands the value of a natural environment and personally accepts to do his or her part in protecting it,
-
sustained scientific research and attentive environmental follow-up to identify problematic situations and find the best possible solutions,
-
effective management of visitor activities in the park to minimise any subsequent negative impacts, and
-
collaboration between the various stakeholders. Conservation is everyone’s business! |
